Bill Caruth is a trustee of the Hillcrest Foundation. He is a member of the board of trustees of the Nita Stewart Haley Memorial Library and history Center in Midland, Texas, and a trustee of the International Linguistics Center in Dallas. He is chairman of the board of advisors for the institute for Studies and identification Technologies, which works with the police on DNA identification. He also is chairman of the board of trustee for the
Gradate Institute of Applied linguistics in Dallas and the
Free Market Foundation.
Mr. Caruth is a national Center for Policy analysis Senior Fellow. A nationally-recognized expect and lecture on firearms and gun control, Mr. Caruth co-authored the NCPA study Myths About Gun Control and is co-author of the study about the wounding capacity of pistol bullets available to police that was polished in the FBI Enforcement Bulletin and the Rifle magazine. His first training in firearms came while serving in the military. He also participated in training at the Dallas Sheriff’s Academe and the FBI Firearms Instructor School and attended a private course in handgun combat techniques.
